On a chilly Sunday night before this week got started, I went with an indulgent dinner plan: filet mignon with a mushroom-shallot-brandy cream sauce, along with homemade creamy mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus with garlic. Woo-whee, it was a giddy belly-stretcher!
