Last Friday left me needing a sweet treat, and I thought I might just be ready for a standard (and most exceptional) sugar cookie. With a large scoop and an abundance of sugar within, these rascals spread far and wide into a chewy thinness with a slightly crisp outer edge. This recipe is hard to beat, but so too is it hard to track down its originator. The website from which I printed it back in 2012 disappeared and its owner evaporated into the ether!
