After a good stretch of guests and visitors over the last week or 10 days, the quiet that settled on the Roediger House a couple of days before Christmas finally gave me time to make a batch of chewy sugar cookies. This recipe really does seem to be pretty spot on, because they are the best soft and sweet sugar cookies. I indulged by eating half of one!
