My gosh: I haven't had this since I was still a kid, but my mother used to make this for us for breakfast from time to time. It's buttered toast with grape jelly, topped with scrambled eggs. I haven't even thought of this in decades. This Jones tradition managed to come back from my heavy neglect, apparently.
Some fresh-grated aged sharp white cheddar made the eggs even more delicious. That was the simple dinner tonight, and I've got no regrets.
