This past Wednesday allowed me some late afternoon time to try out a new recipe, this time for pumpkin bread with a cinnamon sugar topping. I was trying to adapt it from a mini-loaf version so the cooking time was a bit dicey. Unfortunately, I fear that among the ingredients I employed there must've been something bad, either old canola oil or bad pumpkin pie spice...there was a terrible off-taste to it when I sampled a corner of it. So I tossed the whole thing in the trash and will give it another go some other time. At least it looked tempting, even if it was a bust!
