I didn't make it to the grocery store on this task-list-overwhelmed Saturday at home, following a long week on the road, so dinner had to be from pantry staples. Tonight, with a small crowd on hand, that led me to ultimate cream of tomato soup along with homemade pimento cheese paninis. (Once I'd mentioned that menu as a possibility, the assembled crew would hear of nothing else!)
