View from the GMAC Building

From the upstairs porch, you might get a view of the Winston-Salem skyline that looks like this:


At the far left is the recently-vacated GMAC Insurance Building, which was originally the Integon Building. In the middle are two buildings that overlap one another: the Nissen Building and the Winston Tower. To the far right, with the rounded top, is the Wells Fargo Center (originally the headquarters for Wachovia Bank).

My friend Connie Frye visited one Sunday afternoon recently, and she was kind enough to use her credentials to get me up to the 18th floor plaza of the GMAC Building. This is the GMAC Building as seen from the top of the Nissen Building, which Connie also took me up to:


This was really cool, and I snapped a few pictures:
