But then I got the call from Sears that my new television had arrived (more on that in a later blog post, I'm sure). I drove on home to pick it up and get it set up, and as long as I was in my house, I was happy to steal some unanticipated moments in my kitchen.
Even if it was only to whip up a quick batch of chicken salad, spiked with some currants, and throw it on a couple of slices of potato bread.
