Meal No. 68: Not So Cajun Is Not So Bad

The true and truly designated first meal in the new kitchen was Not So Cajun chicken, and being snowed in this past weekend made that dish an easy recipe to shop for and be prepped for in advance. So here's the accompaniment to last night's further adventures in Dexter watching on DVD:

Technically, this was the second of two meals I made today. What better start to Sunday morning than to whip up something breakfast-y? Continuing the theme of being snowed in, this seemed a good time to break out the Shane Holman-inspired waffle iron and turn out some Sunday waffles (Meal No. 67). Good eating.

"Not So Cajun Chicken," a dish I regularly enjoyed at Crowley's Old Time Favorites restaurant and bar on Medlin Drive in Raleigh, NC. Credit to Jimmy Randolph for helping track the recipe down. (Another version of the recipe can be found here.)
